Those two jobs we can finish on this floor. Overhauls, movement work and estimates for other repairs are closed.

Battery or strap

Battery replacement

Good quality cells that are less likely to leak, fitted when the case back is a standard snap or screw. Often while you wait.

Strap replacement

We measure the lug width and fit leather, fabric or steel at the counter. Spring bars are checked at the same time.

Full servicing is closed

We are not taking overhauls, movement work, or pieces in for an estimate. The waiting list is long. We are not adding to it.

Not taking full servicing

We cannot take pieces in to look at them. Please do not bring a watch for an estimate.

If it is a battery or a strap, come in. If it is anything else, we will have to turn you away.

Step by step

What happens at the counter

A cell or a strap. Your watch is not posted off, and it is not booked in for work we cannot take.

Step 1
Come in for a battery or a strap
Walk in Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 18:00, or call 01 679 9107 first. Those are the only jobs we can take.
Step 2
We do that job at the counter
A new cell, or a new strap fitted to the lug width. We do not strip a movement or quote for other work.
Step 3
You leave with the watch
No ticket for a job we cannot finish. If it needs more than a battery or a strap, we will say so and send you on.

Straps from the same counter

Buy a strap here and we fit it while you wait. Leather, fabric or steel — we measure the lug width rather than have you guess.

Our photography, our watches. A cell or a strap — not a catalogue of jobs we cannot take.

Pre-war Jaeger-LeCoultre Uniplan with an original dial — A worn strap is the usual reason a vintage piece comes back to the counter. We fit a new one while you wait.

Omega Seamaster chronograph on the workbench — Quartz cells we can change. A full strip is not a job we are taking.

Vintage Omega Seamaster shown front, case back and on the wrist — A dead cell left in the case can leak. Change it when the watch stops, not a year later.

Servicing questions we get asked

No. We are too busy. Battery replacement and strap replacement are the only bench jobs we can take. We cannot look at a piece for an estimate.

The list is already long and we are not adding names. Please do not bring a watch in hoping we will make an exception.

Yes. Same floor, often while you wait, when the case back is a standard type.

Usually, yes. Bring the watch and the strap. We will measure the lugs and check the spring bars.

For a battery or a strap, yes. We are not taking other servicing on watches bought here or elsewhere.
